Structural Bodywork Services
Structural bodywork relieves chronic pain and works to change postural distortions. It gets to the root of why you are in pain and relieves chronic nerve and muscle tension to allow overly charged tissues to be pain-free. If you’re in pain, Tom is here to help. Assessments are always free, and if you see him around the gym, don’t hesitate to ask him about your aches and pains. He may even give you a few tips and tricks to get you started. To learn more about structural bodywork go to fullbodyfunction.com or visit his Facebook page for client reviews.
Tom studied directly under bodywork pioneer Kyle Wright author of Structural Balancing: A Clinical Approach at the North Carolina School of Advanced Bodywork previously located in Asheville, NC. The school has since moved to Charlotte.
What to expect from your first session
You will fill out a short intake form that includes a brief medical history, your current issues and your goals. Next, we will chat about a plan for your session. I may ask you to do some movements to show your range of motion and to help better identify your problem areas. After that, we will get to work on relieving your pain and dysfunctions. The format for structural bodywork is much like a regular massage you may have received at a spa. You will be under towels.
It is recommended that your first session be at least 90 minutes. Sessions typically last 1-3 hrs
Appointments cancelled with less than 24-hour notice will be charged in full. Appointments cancelled with more than 24-hour noticed may be rescheduled with no penalty.
