How long have you been a yoga instructor?

10.5 years

Has fitness always been a part of your life or did you at some point did you make a decision to seek out that lifestyle?

In high school I decided that I wanted to be fit and healthy, so I went to go to the gym regularly and became a fitness instructor within a year! It was a lot of hard work and dedication, as I had not been into sports or group activities before. It was a challenge that has rewarded me for many years.

What is your favorite healthy meal?

A rare filet, grilled new or sweet potatoes and a green veggie or salad, YES I consider red meat healthy in small doses!

Snack?

A protein shake with pineapple, berries or dark cherries.

How would you describe your training (teaching) philosophy or style?

I feel like Yoga-Based Movement is like a buffet, take what you like and leave the rest behind. I choose to create safety, fun and a simple class that can be done by any “body” to include the tight athlete or the fit, limber yogi.

Fabulous! Charlotte Athletic Club has wonderful staff and members who are dedicated to being fit and healthy.
